Peter Obi, the Labour Party, presidential candidate is leading votes count in in Lagos state, according to results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
With 17 local governments announced by the electoral body, Obi has won seven of the local governments while Bola Tinubu, former Lagos governor and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won 10.
With counting stopped at about 3:30 am and expected to resume at 10:00am the finale is expected to be a close one.
Peter Obi’s Labour Party claimed wins in Eti-Osa, Amuwo Odofin, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo and Somolu.
Tinubu, however won in Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland and Surulere.

In total, Obi has polled 449,088 votes while Tinubu has so far garnered 416, 431 votes, leaving.
Results from Alimosho, Ojo and Mushin will be announced when counting resumes.
Mushin LG’s result was announced by the Collation Officer but it was rejected to some dispute in the figure.
Tinubu is projected to win big in Mushin and especially Alimosho where a huge number of votes in Lagos come from.
Obi is projected to claim Ojo comfortably because a sizeable chunk of his supporters reside there.
