Atiku Abubakar's voting was no secret ballot as he had help during the process

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the polls where he voted on Saturday in Yola, Adamawa state.

Abubakar who voted at polling unit 012, Ajiya ward, Jimeta garnered a staggering 282 votes.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) placed a distant second with 57 votes.

The Labour Party (LP) secured six votes, while the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) got one vote.

Abubakar who was quizzed by journalists on his chances after voting, simply replied, “I am optimistic of winning,” he said.

Abubakar, however called for an improvement in the quality of ballot papers printed by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
