EFCC raids residence of Sokoto businessman, Usman Mohammed, damages property

Some operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday allegedly invaded the residence of Sokoto businessman, Usman Mohammed destroying his property during the invasion.
According to some residents, the operatives stormed Kontagora Road in Sokoto State and invaded the residence of the businessman in cowboy style.
An eyewitness said that the EFCC operatives did not seek any civil engagement as they invaded the house.
The witness said that they forcefully broke into the building destroying the entrance to Mohammed’s residence.
“Shortly after the operatives began shooting sporadically into the air as they raid the residence,” the witness who identified himself as Dawodu Alli said.
According to an occupant of the residence who asked not to be named, the operatives zoomed off in their vehicles after the invasion of the property turned up nothing.
