Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu says WASSCE won't hold and schools won't reopen salary unity schools universities

The Federal Ministry of Education has directed the immediate closure of all Federal Government Colleges in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The ministry also directed the immediate evacuation of students following threats by bandits to attack Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Some schools have directed students to vacate by Wednesday, July 27, 2022 while other schools asked parents to pick their kids unfailingly by Monday.

A message circulating on WhatsApp claimed that there was heavy shootings at Federal Government College in Kwali, Abuja. This forced parents to quickly go and pick their kids from the school.

Also due to security threats, Federal Government Girls’ College, Bwari have received a directive from the Federal Ministry of Education that students should vacate before Wednesday.

The school is expected to be shut by Wednesday as parents have been asked to come pick up their children before noon on Monday.
