Shuaibu To Osinbajo: Edo state, youths with you for 2023

The deputy governor of Edo state, Comrade Philip Shuaibu has assured Vice President Yemi Osinbajo of the support of the government and people of Edo state should he decide to run for the 2023 presidential election.

Shuaibu made the comments after he received Osinbajo in Auchi for the installation, Clem Agba, Minister of State for Budget and National Planning as the Oduma of Auchi at the palace of the Otaru of Auchi.

“Your Excellency, just know that you have Edo, you have us, anything that you want to do, you have us and you have God,” said Shuaibu who a senior member of an opposition party.

“By the Grace of God, we will have our own as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023,” the deputy governor said.

Shuaibu thanked Osinbajo for taking time from his busy schedule to be in Auchi, adding that “by the grace of God, the young men and youths, we will mobilise ourselves so that we can take our destiny in our hands. The EndSARS was a clarion call to all of us.”

“The era of godfathers are over, it is now the era of good leadership and progressive leadership. Men that have intellect, men that will turn our state into an industrial state so that those who are unemployed will be gainfully employed.”

His comments is the second from a member of the opposition, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in as many weeks.

In Kano during the Sardauna of Sokoto Ahmadu Bello Memorial Lecture, a former governor of Niger state, Babangida Aliyu described Osinbajo as the best candidate of the APC for 2023 presidency.
