The Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the rightful governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in the November 6, 2021, election in Anambra State.

The judgement was made on Thursday, after two painstaking hours of legal exchanges by the two sides.

It was also gathered that the apex court restored Chief Victor Oye as the National Chairman of the party.

The court presided by a five-man panel of justices dismissed the appeal filed by Jude Okeke stating that it was an abuse of court process.

Justice Mary Peter Odili, who delivered the lead judgment, awarded a sum of N1 million to be paid by Jude Okeke to APGA and Victor Oye.

Justice Odili upheld the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Kano Division, which had earlier dismissed Okeke’s suit.
