DSS stormed the Miyetti Allah’s Head Office

A group of unknown armed men have reportedly stolen the case file containing the fundamental human rights enforcement application filed by aides to embattled Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, alias Sunday Igboho.

The latest development was disclosed by Barrister I. Awo, the counsel for the Department of State Service, DSS during a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

According to the DSS counsel, his colleague who was in possession of the document was conveying it to the court when he was attacked by armed robbers in the vehicle he boarded.

The armed robbers allegedly carted away the case file and other personal effects of the lawyer.

Barrister Awo pleaded with Justice Obiora Egwuatu, the presiding judge of the court, to adjourn the hearing to a later date.

Recall that the DSS had, during a midnight invasion of Igboho’s Soka house in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, arrested 12 of the activist’s allies and detained them in Abuja.

The detained aides had approached the court to seek their fundamental rights to freedom from the custody of the DSS.

Egwuatu, during a sitting on August 4, 2021, granted bail to the 12 detainees. However, they are still in the custody of the secret police.
