Four killed, scores abducted as bandits raid Katsina communities

Bandits kill three, abducts village head, 11 others in Zamfara

Not less than four persons have been killed after an attack by bandits in Tsayau community in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Reports say that several residents of the community were kidnapped during the attack as the armed hoodlums invaded the town on Monday.

Many other residents were injured during the raid.

The incident has not yet been confirmed by the state police command.

However, the lawmaker representing Jibia at the State House of Assembly, Mustapha Yusuf confirmed the incident to newsmen in Katsina.

The spate of insecurity in the North West is a cause for concern.

It can be recalled that Chronicle NG reported the killing of 19 persons in Tsauwa village, Batsari Local Government Area of Katsina state on July 6, 2021.

As part of its efforts in stemming the rate of insecurity in Nigeria, the presidency has called for a meeting with service chiefs and other stakeholders on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
