Eight killed by bandits in fresh Kaduna attacks

Incessant attacks in Kogi communities

Bandits have launched another series of attacks on two communities in Kaduna state, killing eight and leaving many others injured.

According to reports, the gunmen attacked the farmers while they were working on their farms in Buruku and Udawa villages in Chikun local government area of the state.

The Kaduna state police command confirmed the incident to newsmen, but could not give the actual number of fatalities.

According to the spokesman of the command; “Yes, there was an incident in the area and some persons were killed”.

“We don’t have the details of the incident yet but we have sent our men to the area to gather information”, he added.

The spate of insecurity in Kaduna state is alarming. Bandits seem to have overrun the farming communities in the state as villagers, commuters and even monarchs are not spared from the wanton killings and kidnappings perpetrated by the criminals.
