Scores abducted as bandits raid Zaria community
Armed bandits have attacked another community in Kaduna state, abducting an unknown number of people in the process.
According to reports, the gunmen invaded Samaru community in Zaria around 1am on Friday morning. They shot sporadically and operated for about 30 minutes before whisking away their victims.
The incident was confirmed by Senator Shehu Sani who represented Kaduna Central during the 8th National Assembly.
Senator Shehu disclosed this on his Twitter handle on Friday; “Early this morning, Bandits stormed Zango area Samaru, Zaria & kidnapped scores of people.
“Ahmadu Bello University main campus, College of Aviation and Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology located in the same area must take immediate preventive security steps to secure lives”.
It is still unclear if any life was lost during the attack.
The Kaduna state police command is yet to confirm the incident.
