Arsenal fans harass Mikel Arteta after Chelsea defeat
Arsenal fans have harassed Mikel Arteta outside the Emirates stadium after their second consecutive defeat this season.
Arsenal is yet to win or score any goal this season after signing Ben White from Brighton and Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid.
Romelu Lukaku scored his first goal for Chelsea during the match followed by a high ball from Reece James who sealed the fate of the Gunners.
Arsenal lost to newly- promoted Brentford (2-0) last week. The hosts had never played a premier league game, 75 years before their meeting with Arsenal.
Arteta was booed on his way home with fans calling for his resignation.
One was heard asking: “Arteta, was that good enough? Please leave the club.”
Another man said: “Arteta, do yourself a favour. Mikel, do yourself a favour, please leave.”
The 39-year-old Spaniard worked as an Assistant manager to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City for 3 years before joining Arsenal
Earlier in his career, Arteta played for Arsenal as a midfielder. He also played for Everton, Barcelona and Real Sociedad.
