Two kidnappers killed by Amotekun operatives in Oyo state

At least two persons suspected to be kidnappers have been killed by operatives of Oyo state Amotekun corps.

According to reports, the suspects were killed in an attempt to kidnap some residents of Iwere-Ile town on Friday. Fortunately, Amotekun operatives were mobilized to the area and engaged the hoodlums in a gunbattle. Three hoodlums escaped with bullet wounds while two of the suspects were killed on the spot.

Amotekun Commandant, Olayinka Olayanju confirmed the incident to newsmen on Saturday, adding that their weapons had been recovered and handed over to the police.

“Weapons recovered from the kidnappers have been deposited with police.

“The operation was conducted with local vigilantes and hunters,” he said.
