First class Kaduna monarch regains freedom from bandits

The kidnappers stormed the house around 12:30 a.m.

The abducted first class Kaduna monarch, Gyet Maude of Jaba chiefdom has regained his freedom on Wednesday.

The traditional ruler was kidnapped by bandits few days ago while on a visit to his farm at Gitata community in Nasarawa state.

The 83-year-old traditional ruler who was kidnapped along with some of his aides has returned to his palace after spending two days in the kidnappers’ den.

The latest development was confirmed by the traditional ruler’s brother, Anthony Maude.

The Kaduna state police command is yet to confirm if the monarch was rescued by security operatives or if any ransom was paid.
