President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed the former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd) as Ambassador to Benin Republic.

Similarly, the immediate Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin (rtd) was also deployed to the Republic of Cameroon as an Ambassador-Designate of Nigeria.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, made this known on Tuesday while presenting letters of credence to the newly appointed ex-service chiefs.

This was contained in a statement by Mr Kimiebi Ebienfa, information officer of the ministry of foreign affairs.

The statement reads, “The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E.
