Sanwo-Olu meets Ikorodu Bois, praises their creativity
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has applauded the popular comedy group Ikorodu Bois for earning international recognition with their creativity as he hosted them in his office on Monday.
The ‘Ikorodu Bois has garnered worldwide recognition for their talent in remaking creative videos of top music videos and movies.
The comic group made up of Muiz Sanni (15), Malik Sanni (10) and Fawas (13) are known for recreating and mimicking multi-million-dollar music videos, Hollywood film trailers and epic pictures with household items.
The online comedy group has creatively mimicked scenes from Hollywood movies which was recently showcased on billboards in Times Square, New York and on Netflix.
Sanwo-Olu, hosting the group commended them for putting Lagos on the global map with their creativity.
“Today, I welcomed generational filmmaking talent @IkoroduB, whose creativity has put them and Ikorodu on the global map of international platforms like Netflix, earned them a nomination at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and put their faces on billboards in Times Square, NY.
“As a State, we are proud of them and I thank them for visiting me today. “
The Governor reiterated his commitment to developing and supporting creative talent in the state.
“We are committed to developing creative talent in Lagos as we continue to serve as the premier destination for musical, art and creative talent generation in Africa,” Sanwo-Olu said.
