Four suspected cybercriminals ‘Yahoo boys’ were killed in an accident when their SUV rammed into a stationary heavy duty vehicle. Four of the five passengers died on the spot.
According to an eye witness, the accident occurred around 4am in the early hours of Saturday at Ekiugbo road along the East/West road, Ughelli North local area of Delta state.
The witness also said that the Lexus car with registration number KWL 365 BH Abuja, was purchased two days earlier. The victims were returning from a night club when the incident happened.
The witness explained that while the suspected Yahoo boys were returning from night club, both friends in their different cars decided to have a car race in order to ascertain who among them had the fastest car.
In the midst of the joyous reverie, the driver of the Lexus car lost control and ran into the stationary Caterpillar which led to their death.
It was learnt that when the incident happened, the owner of the car was not in the car was not part of the victims.
The deceased were said to have been forcefully removed from the car with the help of the local vigilante team who came with axes and later deposited the corpses in an undisclosed hospital in Ughelli.
