The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry has paid N10 million compensation to Adebayo Abayomi whose deceased mother was killed by police.

Abayomi’s mother, Kudirat Abayomi, was a victim of extrajudicial killing in the state.
The panel chairperson, Doris Okuwobi, said it finds that the deceased’s mother Kudirat Abayomi was extra-judicially killed by an officer of the Nigeria Police Force.
She also said the police failed to offer first aid to the victim when she was shot.
The Panel also compensated Hannah Olugbodi. She was given N10 million.

She was shot by an officer of SARS at Ijeshatedo area of Lagos. The shooting led to her suffering bodily injury.
The panel found that the petitioner was shot without any justification and that there was no evidence that she was given a first aid treatment.
