BREAKING: All passengers dead in Nigeria military crash

A military aircraft has just crashed at the Abuja Airport. According to eyewitnesses, all six passengers aboard died in the crash.

The Nigerian Air Force NAF201 a Boeing 350 departed Abuja at 1033UTC with six persons on board including two crew, crashed barely 15 minutes later.

It was gathered that the aircraft reported engine failure at time 1039 and crashed landed on the final approach path of Abuja Runway 22 at time 1048UTC.

Fire services are already at the scene of the accident.

According to Imoleayo Michael, who posted pictures of the crash, the pilot did his best to steer the plane of residential area.

“The pilot is a hero. This aircraft should have crashed into the residential area but we watched him manoeuvre into a free bush to crash.

Reacting to the news, Nigeria’s Aviation minister said, “A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.”
