Nigeria announces 155 new coronavirus cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 155 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday.

The 155 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 63,328.

The NCDC also announced the discharge of 41 patients from isolation centers across the country with four new deaths reported.

Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 85 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 21,483.

Federal Capital Territory recorded 23 new cases, Ondo state reported 18 new cases while Ogun state announced 8 new cases.

Other states are Kaduna-5, Oyo-5, Taraba-5, Kano-3, Rivers-2 and Bauchi-1.

NCDC reports that there are 63,328 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 59,675 discharged and 1,155 deaths.
