The Nigerian Ministry of Interior has described as fake news the stories making the rounds that it has created a “no-fly list” that would restrict certain persons from flying out of the country.

The reports had claimed that the no-fly list was generated to target those who actively participated in the EndSARS protest including Modupe Odele known as Moe.

Moe is an EndSARS protester was denied access to leave the country.

“The Ministry of Interior did not, has not and will not generate any no-fly list. Ignore fake news please,” the ministry said.

Similarly, Moe who was restrained from travelling has cautioned Nigerians about believing the fake news, noting that, she does not know why she was stopped from travelling.

“Hello everyone, thank you so much. I am fine and I am safe. We haven’t confirmed yet why I was stopped on Sunday or by whom.

“But I’ve been invited back in with my lawyers today. I’ll update when I have more information but please don’t spread false news. That is dangerous,” she tweeted.
