Viathan Engineering Limited has dismissed rumours making the rounds that it was responsible for turning out the Lekki toll gate lights on Tuesday night.

The leading renewable power generating company stressed that it is against the use of violence on citizens and would like to use this medium to commiserate with those affected by the Lekki toll incidence on 20 October 2020.

“It has come to our attention that there are speculations of our organization’s involvement in turning off power to the Lekki toll gate. We wish to categorically state that this is false,” a statement by Viathan said.

“We wish to strongly pronounce that neither the CEO nor anyone acting on behalf of our organisation was involved in this act.

“Whilst it is true that we provide electricity supply to various load centres in Lekki, Ikoyi, Victoria Island and Marina, we have NO control over the activities of the customers neither do we exercise control over their switch gear.

“We wish for a meaningful resolution to the benefit of all Nigerians,” the company statement added.
