Nigeria announces 150 new coronavirus cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 150 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.

The 150 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 62,521.

The NCDC also announced the discharge of 154 patients from isolation centers across the country with two new deaths reported.

Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 89 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 21,106.

Rivers state recorded 20 new cases, Ogun state reported 9 new cases while Bayelsa state announced 8 new cases.

Other states are Kaduna-8, Plateau-8, Taraba-3, Osun-2 and Delta-1.

NCDC reports that there are 62,521 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 58,249 discharged and 1,141 deaths.
