Nigeria: Buhari decries insecurity, economy in farewell speech

President Muhammadu Buhari will address Nigerians at 7pm on Thursday following the violence that marred the #EndSARS protests across Nigeria especially Lagos.

This address is following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, a statement by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President, (Media & Publicity) said.

“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast,” Adesina said.

Earlier today, the President presided over National Security Council Meeting at the Council Chambers, the State House, Abuja.

In attendance Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Of Staff, Defence Minister, the Service Chiefs, the IG of Police and other heads of the security agencies are all in attendance.
