Nigeria announces 195 new coronavirus cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 195 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday.

The 195 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 57,437.

The NCDC also announced the discharge of 105 patients from isolation centers across the country with two new deaths reported.

It was Enugu state that recorded the highest number of cases for the day with 51 new cases. Gombe reported 40 new cases.

Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 39 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 18982.

Plateau state reported 23 new cases, Federal Capital Territory state recorded 15 and Rivers announced 12 new cases.

Other states are Kaduna-8, Ondo-3, Bauchi-2, Edo-1 and Ogun-1.

NCDC reports that there are 57,437 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 48,674 discharged and 1,100 deaths.
