Reno Omokri has claimed that there was more to Bobrisky's prison sentence

Renowned researcher and intelligence expert, Matthew Page, has warned the public against believing any quotes attributed to him and made by Reno Omokri because the former aide of President Goodluck Jonathan manipulates facts.

Page, a US intelligence community’s top Nigeria expert who served with the Department of State’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research, Defense Intelligence Agency and Marine Corps Intelligence said he has urged Omokri to desist from misquoting him.

“As a point of information, Reno has repeatedly misquoted me and manipulated factual clarifications which I provided him (unwisely in hindsight) in May 2017.

“In spite of me asking him to desist from invoking my name for political purposes, he has not,” Page said.

“Therefore none of assertions purportedly attributed to me should be taken at face value, as they were not quoted accurately.

“It is clear the factual clarifications I provided Reno about the 2014 USIP Northern Governors meeting (which both HE and I attended) were misused as a form of political ammunition.

“As I am a non-partisan researcher affiliated with Chatham House and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, I do not take kindly to having my name associated with particular political agendas,” he said.

Omokri who is unpopular for the identity theft of his nephew, Wendell Simlin has repeatedly concocted lies against prominent persons in Nigeria including former Central Bank governor, Sanusi Lamido who he tried to link to sponsoring Boko Haram.

He also milked the family of abducted Chibok schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu who he wrote a book in her name as well as made T-Shirts and face cap all for personal gains. He also secured grants in the name of Sharibu which he converted for personal use.
