    Nigeria announces 373 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 373 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.

    The 373 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 48,116.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 366 patients from isolation centers across the country with 10 new deaths reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 76 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 16256.

    • Nigeria announces 453 new coronavirus cases

    Osun state reported 41 new cases, Kaduna recorded 40 new cases while Oyo, FCT and Plateau recorded 55, 38 and 32 new cases respectively.

    Other states are Rivers-19, Kano-17, Ondo-17, Ogun-15, Abia-14, Gombe-12, Imo-9, Enugu-7, Kwara-6, Delta-5, Niger-2, Borno-1, Bauchi-1 and Nasarawa-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 48,116 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 34,309 discharged and 966 deaths.
