Nigeria announces 304 new coronavirus cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 304 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday.

The 304 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 44433.

The NCDC also announced the discharge of 11,188 patients from isolation centers across the country with 14 new deaths reported.

Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 59 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 15414.

But it was the Federal Capital Territory that recorded the single highest number of cases for the day with 90 new cases.

Ondo state reported 39 new cases, Taraba recorded 18 new cases while Rivers, Borno and Adamawa recorded 17, 15 and 12 new cases respectively.

Other states are Oyo-11, Delta-9, Edo-6, Bauchi-4, Kwara-4, Ogun-4, Osun-4, Bayelsa-3, Plateau-3, Niger-3, Nasarawa-2 and Kano-1.

NCDC reports that there are 44,433 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 31,851 discharged and 910 deaths.
