The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 626 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.

The 626 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 27110.

The NCDC also announced the discharge of 649 patients from isolation centers across the country with 13 new deaths reported.

Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 193 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 10823.

Federal Capital Territory recorded 85 new cases, Oyo reported 41 new cases while Edo, Kwara, and Abia recorded 38, 34 and 31 new cases respectively.

Other states are Ogun-29, Ondo-28, Rivers-26, Osun-21, Akwa Ibom-18, Delta-18, Enugu-15, Kaduna-13, Plateau-11, Borno-8, Bauchi-7, Adamawa-5, Gombe-4 and Sokoto-1.

NCDC reports that there are 27110 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 10801 discharged and 616 deaths.
