    Nigeria announces 595 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 595 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday.

    The 595 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 33153.

    The NCDC also announced the discharge of 224 patients from isolation centers across the country with four new deaths reported.

    Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 156 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 12583.

    • Nigeria announces 571 new coronavirus cases

    Oyo state recorded 141 new cases, FCT reported 99 new cases while Edo, Kaduna, and Ondo recorded 47, 27 and 22 new cases respectively.

    Other states are Rivers-20, Osun-17, Imo-13, Plateau-10, Nasarawa-8, Anambra-8, Kano-5, Benue-5, Borno-5, Ogun-4, Taraba-3, Gombe-3, Kebbi-1 and Cross Rivers-1.

    NCDC reports that there are 33153 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 13671 discharged and 744 deaths.
