The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 571 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Sunday.
The 571 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 32558.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 344 patients from isolation centers across the country with 16 new deaths reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 152 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 12427.
Ebonyi state recorded 108 new cases, Edo state reported 53 new cases while Ondo, FCT, and Oyo recorded 46, 38 and 20 new cases respectively.
Other states are Kwara-19, Plateau-17, Osun-14, Bayelsa-14, Ekiti-14, Katsina-14, Akwa Ibom-11, Kaduna-11, Rivers-11, Niger-10, Ogun-7, Kano-6, Cross River-4 and Bauchi-2.
NCDC reports that there are 32558 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 13447 discharged and 740 deaths.
