Looking for ways to stimulate your child’s brain? Luckily for you, we have a wide range of educational programmes designed to allow children learn a few things during their time in front on the TV. From history, math, science to current affairs, GOtv offers it all and more.

Grab your remote and join in on this fun educational journey!

Here’s a list of 6 programmes that are most worthy for the children to watch:

Tune in for all these and more on Da Vinci (channel 66).

    1.       It’s World Environment Day! Celebrate it with us on Friday, 5th June from 4pm to 7pm and see why it’s so important to take care of our amazing planet as it whizzes through the universe. Discover why our climate changes on Did You Know? At 6pm and master the power on air on Xploration DIY SCI at 6:30pm. Bam! For some people, taking care of our world is like going to the office. On When I Grow Up at 5pm, Michaela learns what it’s like to work as an urban gardener and a forest manager. And Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch at 5:30pm meet the people helping sealions at a rescue centre. What cool jobs! Even when you are staying at home you can do your bit for the earth, by recycling. Check out the great ideas on Totally Rubbish at 4pm, and make jewelry out of crisp packets, skittles from plastic bottles or a cool cardboard scooter for your pens.

    2.       World Ocean Day airs on Monday, 8th June from 7pm to 11pm. Why is earth called the blue planet? Because over 70% of it is covered in water! Wow! On World Oceans’ Day, we remember how important the ocean is for us and all the creatures that live in it, from teeny tiny organisms to the largest animal in the world – the blue whale.  The ocean is also where we find a team of scientists defying the bitter cold on Operation Iceberg at 9:05pm. It’s a race against time, as icebergs are melting because of climate change. See how this affects the ocean and the way we live in other ways, too, on Climate Change by Numbers at 7pm and Did You Know? At 8:35pm. The power of nature!

    3.       New episodes on PinCode airs Saturdays at 2pm. Each episode deals with a different science topic in an exciting and understandable way, keeping kids entertained as they learn.

    • Re-Live some Super Eagles’ greatest victories on DStv and GOtv this weekend

    4.       New episodes also on The Treehouse Stories airs Fridays at 3:30pm. Four friends meet in a secret treehouse in order to share their favourite books. In each episode we dive into one story through a different design.

    5.       Brand new! Which Universe Are We In? premieres Sunday, 14th June at 9pm. Get ready to leave your pre-conceived notions of reality at the door and open your mind to whole new worlds of possibility! There’s an idea, once thought so radical, that just mentioning it was considered pure insanity. But now cosmologists are daring to think the unthinkable. Tune in to Which Universe Are We In? to join them as they look at the evidence suggesting that our universe is just one of an infinite number of others in a vast multiverse. They discuss different theories of how these multiple universes could exist. So which one are we in? Who knows! Mind-bending!

Also, don’t miss out on this:

    6.       A new uLesson Educational content on for SS1 to SS3 students premieres Monday, 8th June on AM family (channel 2). Learn how to recognize, classify and name living things through Biology, learn the different forms of matter through Chemistry, experience something cool about triangles as well as fraction through Mathematics and be introduced to the objects around us; how the move, the ways of describing their features and the measurement and qualities used to do so through Physics. Catch it daily from 4pm – 5pm.
