BREAKING: Election tribunal affirms Yahaya Bello as Kogi governor
The Kogi state governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja on Saturday confirmed election of Yahaya Bello as governor of Kogi State.
Bello who was reelected as governor at the November 16 polls on the platform of the All Progressives Congress was challenged in court by Musa Wada as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In the ruling by the majority judgment delivered by the Chairman of tribunal, Justice Kashim Kaigama dismissed the petition brought by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the November 16 governorship election, Engineer Musa Wada against the outcome of the polls for lacking in merit.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had on 18 November declared incumbent Bello winner of the governorship polls.
