    FLASH: Nigeria announces 195 new coronavirus cases

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 195 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria on Wednesday.

    This takes the total number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria past 3000 and number of deaths past 100 with the announcement of five more patients dying Wednesday.

    NCDC reports that 195 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded with Lagos reporting 82 cases.

    There were 30-Kano, 19-Zamfara, 18-Sokoto, 10-Borno, 9-FCT, 8-Oyo, 5-Kebbi, 5-Gombe, 4-Ogun, 3-Katsina, 1-Kaduna and 1-Adamawa.

    The Centre for Disease Control stated that 3145 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 534 discharged and 103 deaths.

    • Nigeria announces 148 coronavirus cases

    Of the 103 people who died of coronavirus, 30 of them were from Lagos, while Borno recorded 14 deaths.

    Kano has recorded 13 deaths so far, after two people died on Wednesday.

    Katsina and Sokoto States have recorded eight deaths each, while FCT, Edo and Osun have recorded four deaths each.

    While Delta has three deaths, Ogun, Oyo, Zamfara, Akwa Ibom and Rivers have recorded two deaths each.

    Kaduna, Jigawa, Yobe, Ekiti and Nasarawa, have all recorded one death each.
