Nigeria announces 184 coronavirus cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 184 confirmed coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday.

The 184 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 4971.

The NCDC also announced the discharge of 111 patients from isolation centers across the country and six deaths were also reported.

Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with 51 new cases.

Jigawa recorded 27 cases while Bauchi and Katsina reported 16 cases each.

“Fourteen new cases were announced in Kano, 10 in the Federal Capital Territory and 10 in Rivers.

“9-Kwara, 5-Delta, 5-Kaduna, 4-Sokoto, 4-Oyo, 3-Kebbi, 3-Nasarawa, 3-Osun, 2-Ondo, 1-Ebonyi, 1-Edo, 1-Enugu, 1-Anambra, 1-Plateau and 1-Niger.

According to the NCDC, there are 4971 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 1070 patients discharged and 164 deaths.
