FLASH: Lagos discharges 11-year old, three other coronavirus patients

Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of an 11-year old boy and three other coronavirus patients on Saturday.

This takes the total number of discharged patients across the country from 58 to 62.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos disclosed the update via his official Twitter account, adding that, social distancing was important to reduce spread of coronavirus.

“Dear Lagosians, Today, 4 more patients; all male, including an 11 year old boy have been discharged from the Lagos State Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients; three from Infection Disease Hospital, Yaba and 1 from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) were discharged having recovered fully and tested negative twice to COVID-19.

“This brings to 50, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our isolation facilities,” he said of the patients discharged in Lagos alone.

“I appeal to residents to stay at home, practice social distancing and observe the highest possible personal and hand hygiene. We are on a steady course to victory, let’s all make little sacrifices for the greater good.
