al-Shabab has killed six Somalia government spies

The Islamic court of the al-Shabab militant group in Jubba region has killed six men who were accused of being government spy agents, according to pro-al-Shabab radio al-Furquaan.

The six were accused of spying for both the federal government and regional states.

A large number of Jamame District residents gathered in the town square to witness the killing of the six men, the radio reported.

The judge detailed the work of the slain men, saying their verdict was in regard to apostacy, which is the renouncing of one’s religion.
