    Nigeria coronavirus cases reach 70 with five in Abuja, Oyo

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday has announced five new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria taking the total confirmed cases to 70.

    The NCDC explained that three of the five cases were recorded in the Federal Capital Territory and two in Oyo state.

    The epicenter of coronavirus, Lagos recorded no new cases as at the last announcement.

    “As at 08:00 pm 27th March there are 70 cases of confirmed COVID-19 reported Nigeria. Three have been discharged with one death.

    “There are 70 confirmed cases, three discharged and one death,” NCDC said.

    “For a breakdown of cases by states, currently Lagos has 44 cases, FCT 14, Ogun three, Ekiti one, Oyo three, Edo one, Bauchi two, Osun one and Rivers with one case.
