FLASH: NCDC confirms two news cases of coronavirus, total 46

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have announced two new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria as the total number rises to 46 nationwide.

The disease control centre said the two new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Wednesday.

“Two new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nigeria, one in Lagos and one in Osun,” NCDC said.

“Both cases are returning travellers to Nigeria in the last seven days.”

“As at 07:00 am 25th March, there are 46 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria. Two have been discharged with one death,” NCDC said.

Currently there are 30 cases in Lagos, eight cases in the Federal Capital Territory, three cases in Ogun, one in Ekiti, one in Oyo, one in Edo, one in Bauchi and one in Osun.
