Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has declared the Lekki toll gate free for six hours on Thursday, 11 July in a bid to reduce the traffic congestion on the road.

Mr. Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday said the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge toll gate will be free for three hours in the morning tomorrow and three hours in the evening.

He stated that commuters can use the toll from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the morning and 4.30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the evening.

“We visited the Lekki – Epe and Lekki-Ikoyi tolls for inspection on the best ways to ease traffic,” he tweeted.

“To carry out a feasibility study on finding a solution, there will be free toll passage during the rush hours of 6.30am – 9.30am and 4.30pm – 8pm tomorrow at both toll gates.”

the Governor said: “…there will be free toll passage during the rush hours of 6.30am – 9.30am and 4.30pm – 8pm TOMORROW at both toll gates”.

While you are reporting his statement and saying: “He stated that commuters can use the toll from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the morning and 4.30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the evening EVERYDAY”.

Please lets be careful what is reported, avoiding misleading publications. Thanks
