
Peoples Democratic Party’s Rep Ben Igbakpa representing Ethiope Federal Constituency says Senator Elisha Abbo has brought dishonour upon Nigeria and his party.
Mr. Abbo, 41, who is also a member of PDP was videoed physically assaulting a woman in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The youngest senator in the 9th National Assembly was purchasing sex toys at an adult shop when he got into an altercation with one of the sales women and immediately pounced on her.
He slapped her repeatedly despite pleas for him to stand down, he later ordered his police detail to arrest the lady, vowing to deal with her even more.

Reacting the incident that has already sparked wide outrage, Rep Igbakpa said he stood on the side of justice despite the party affiliation with the senator.
“As a member of National Assembly and PDP, I’m ashamed of Sen. Elisha Abbo for the dishonour he has brought upon Nigerians he swore to protect, his colleagues and party.
:I am even more horrified by his security aides who supervised the assault. The young lady must get justice,” he said in a tweet.
