The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has won his polling unit in the 9 March governorship election.

Sanwo-Olu who voted at Lateef Jakande ifemi Okunnu unit 019 Ikoyi, Lagos polled 74 votes for APC while his closes rival, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party garnered 16 votes as results trickle in across the state.
Chronicle NG can also report that APC won in Makoko Unit 019 Ward D, Yaba, Lagos.
APC got 177 votes to PDP’s 23. In the House of Assembly, APC polled 159 votes while PDP got 27, four more than the party polled in the governorship election.

Chronicle NG can report that there was heavy security presence and strict enforcement of movement restriction were noticed in parts of Lagos.
In Lagos, electorate voted to elect a governor and 40 members of the State House of Assembly members.
