
President Muhammadu Buhari has exercised his civic right in Daura, Katsina as voting kicked off across the country at 8am.
President Buhari who is seeking a second term in office along side Vice President Yemi Osinbajo voted alongside his wife, Aisha Buhari.
Shortly after voting, Buhari was asked by journalists about the turnout for the election, he said, “In my constituency here people are already lined up, so I will save time and go, so that they can continue”.

Asked about the conduct of the election, he said so far, so good, the election was going on well and that Nigerians are behaving themselves.
He then said he was very hopeful of winning his re-election for a second term in office.
Another journalist then asked if he will accept defeat and congratulate the winner of the election. “I will congratulate myself, I am going to be the winner,” he answered.
