Osinbajo to launch Nigeria-Brazil agric initiative

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will on Thursday launch the Green Imperative at the Old Banquet, State House, in Abuja.

The Federal Government in partnership with the Government of Brazil launched the agricultural initiative aimed at boosting agricultural production in Nigeria.

The initiative also known as the Nigeria-Brazil Agricultural Development Programme is tagged “The Green Imperative”.

The initiative will amongst other things entail the introduction of advanced Brazilian Agricultural Equipment (ABIMAQ) and the establishment of Training Centres for Nigerian Farmers across the country.

In a statement by Laolu Akande, spokesperson to Prof Osinbajo, the Vice President will formally launch “The Green Imperative” at a ceremony Thursday morning.
