Nigeria’s main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, is ready to speak from all sides of its mouth as campaign kicks off for the 2019 election.

The Atiku Abubakar campaign may soon be rent in confusion with Babel of voices speaking for it.

Atiku’s party, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) now has eight persons as spokespersons, according to the national publicity secretary Kola Ologbondiyan, who is one of them.

According to a PUNCH report, the eight names were arrived at after a heated argument among the members of the council, a majority of whom were said to have what a source called “vested interests.”

Abubakar, a former Vice President of Nigeria is leading candidate to challenge President Muhammadu Buhari who is seeking reelection as the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Although Buhari is favourite to win the 2019 presidential election, he will face stiff competition from Abubakar, a former ally.

The two men are from Northern part of Nigeria, they are both Fulani’s and are Muslims.
