APC confirms Dapo Abiodun as Ogun guber candidate
NWC of the All Progressives Congress (APC) announces Mr. Dapo Abiodun as winner of the Party’s Ogun State governorship primaries.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) announces Mr. Dapo Abiodun as winner of the Party’s Ogun State governorship primaries.
In a statement issued by the acting National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, Abiodun secured over 50,000 votes more than his closest rival Jimi Lawal.
“Abiodun won the Primary Election after scoring 102,305 votes,” Nabena said in a statement issued on Thursday.
“Other aspirants scored the following: Jimi Lawal polled 51,153 while Adekunle Akinlade garnered 23, 443.

“Bimbo Ashiru got 29, 764 votes while Senator Adegbenga Kaka and Abayomi Semako Koroto polled 17, 771 and 9, 610 votes respectively.
It would be recalled that two governorship candidates had emerged in Ogun APC primary following two parallel primaries held on Wednesday.
While the state chairman of the party, Chief Derin Adebiyi declared the House of Representatives member Adekunle Akinlade as the winner, the electoral panel sent by the National Working Committee led by
Muhammad Ndabawa declared oil mogul, Prince Dapo Abiodun the winner.
