Senator Dino Melaye (APC – Kogi West) has defected from APC to PDP

Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West may have defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The controversial senator sat on the PDP wing of the upper chamber, saying he preferred to seat with the main opposition as against his own party.

Similarly, Hon. Adams Jagaba representing APC in Kacha/Kagarko in Kaduna has defected to the PDP.

Embattled Melaye announced his defection at the plenary on Wednesday, causing rowdy session.

Jagaba’s defection was contained in a letter read by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
