JAMB releases first batch of UTME 2017 results

Jamb, Educator Philip Balogun says teachers are responsible for students not liking mathematics

Candidates writing JAMB examinationThe Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) On Tuesday said it has released the results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted so far.

The examinations began on May 13 and will end on May 20.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, who confirmed this to PREMIUM TIMES in phone chat said the results are being released within 24 hours after the examinations.

He further advised candidates to check their e-mail addresses or visit the board’s website for their results.
Mr. Benjamin said that the results released so far are “fair”.

He said a technical team was on standby at the JAMB headquarters to receive and address complaints from the 642 centres across the country.

About 1.7 million candidates registered for the 2017 UTME; more than 1.2 million registered in 2016.
