Fast rising light welterweight boxer, Rilwan “Baby Face” Babatunde, has declared that Sikiru “Omo Iya Eleja” Shogbesan, whom he is billed to fight at GOtv Boxing Night 10, will not last the distance.

Speaking ahead of the event holding on 26 December at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos, Baby Face said his opponent will endure a torrid time and throw in the towel within a short time.

“By now, Omo Iya Eleja should know that I am on a higher level. My preparation for this fight has been intensive. I want to thank him in advance for adding to the number of victories in my professional career. There is no hiding place for him,” said the young boxer.

In the biggest fight of the night, Nigeria’s Stanley ‘Edoboy’ Eribo will confront Meshack Mwankemwa of Tanzania for the African Boxing Union welterweight title.

Also scheduled is the West African Boxing Union light welterweight title bout, which will see the reigning champion, Olaide “Fijaborn” Fijabi of Nigeria, defend his crown against Raphael “Iron King” Kwabena of Ghana.

The bout is a repeat of their encounter at GOtv Boxing Night 9, where Fijabi won by split decision. The Ghanaian has already boasted that he will wrest the title from Fijabi.

Equally on the cards is one of the bitterest rivalries in modern Nigerian boxing history. This will see Oto “Joe Boy” Joseph, national lightweight champion, once again, go to-to-toe with his predecessor, Nurudeen “Prince” Fatai.
Their two previous encounters went Joe Boy’s way.

Also in the lightweight category, Rilwan “Real One” Oladosu will take on Lion “Prince’ Nwoye in a challenge duel.

In yet another rematch, Waidi “Skoro” Usman, national and West African featherweight champion, will face Dare “Fighting Machine” Oyewole, the man he defeated to win the national title.
