President Muhammadu Buhari commissions naval warships and patrol boats

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has arrived Lagos, the country’s commercial nerve center this morning and headed for the Naval Dockyard, Victoria Island to commission three warships and 27 patrol boats.

The president was received by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at the Murtala Muhammed Airport early this morning and headed straight to the Naval Dockyard for the commissioning.

The president is going to commission three warships. One of the war ships was imported while two others were built locally.

The president will also commission 27 patrol boats for the use of the navy to patrol the nation’s water body.

Buhari was accompanied on the visit by the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and army chiefs.
